Its impossible to "cancel" Live Gold??!!

I made the mistake of signing up to a 14-day free trial of Live Gold with my credit card details. I thought I cancelled it before the trial was up and carried on my merry way. I've recently been looking into my finances to see I was being charged for this
for MONTHS/a year without me realizing. My Microsoft Account doesn't show any subscription or transactions for any of it. I tried to edit my details but the only option is to add a new card (not delete an existing one!)

I've spoken to two people via "Chat" to be told they can't see the transactions either, but there is a charge to my credit card clearly detailing "Microsoft Live Gold" every month. But then agent even "advised" they had great success in "removing my card
details from the system", only to be charged again today!!

Being in Australia its impossible to talk to anyone on the phone! I'm 100% sure I only have this one account with Microsoft, I'm seriously frustrated about these ongoing charges, I'm almost to the point where I need to contact consumer affairs.

It sounds like you are either being charged on another account you may have, or someone else may have. Using your Credit card.

Your options are to call Microsoft billing and ask them to cancel the subscriptions or remove the card from the system

If that doesn't work out, you can call your credit card company and either have charges reversed or have the card cancelled and get a new one, which will stop anymore charges.

Thanks for the replies. If you need to request a call from a support agent you can follow this guide created to get to the option. They can look up the card in question for any charges.

When you go to Contact Us, follow these steps to request a call from support:

Step 1 ----click on Contact us
Step 2 ----under what you having trouble with select Subscriptions & billing
Step 3-----under what is the issue I can't redeem a code then hit next

Step 4 ----scroll down to select request a call

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

Can we clarify that you are using the same login details, you used on Xbox that you are using on your Microsoft account.

Do you still have the Xbox, or did you sell it on.

As already stated, you may want to contact your financial organisation.

It sounds likely that you are being billed for someone else's subscription, either in error or fraudulently. Contact your card provider and initiate a chargeback for each of the charges, the evidence from your conversation with MS support will be useful
in stating your case.
