    It's not saying, the BDF created Blu-ray... They Innovate the concept By Sony/Phillips & used it for their own setups & Brought it to market etc

    External disk drive for Xbox One

    Unfortunately, I don't think you can use external DVD drives on your Xbox. Also what disc are you trying to load. If its a Blu-ray disc, you need to download the Blu-ray app.

    My Xbox One is refusing to read games

    A friend of mine has the same problem, his console keeps telling him to insert a blu-ray disc, etc. I think the blu-ray drive is just on it's way out.

    I would think it's a more severe issue than the laser that reads the discs. The drive (far as I know) has 2 lasers: One reads DVDs and CDs and the other Blu-Rays....the fact yours has issues with Blu-Ray discs (Games) but not other Blu-Ray discs (Movies) makes me think it's not the laser. Could be wrong though as I'm not an expert with consoles.

    Does sound as if it needs investigating by Microsoft (or a local shop if you have one that specialises in consoles)

    @dude, I think they say that cause your not allowed to comment about future hardware the other person may have not known and said it out. but lets all ask our selfs this...a blu-ray player plays blu-rays regular or 3D why would Xbox one will be to only Blu-ray
    player on the planet that plays regular blu-ray? regular blu-ray and 3D blu-rays use the same disc fame format just written diffrently on the disc but both can be picked up by the same laser, yes yes, and yes It plays 3D movies and games :)
