It should not boot us the second an update is available

ANYONE WITH THE SECOND UPDATE ISSUE DO THIS:

"With the console off, press and hold the sync up button (the small white one)

While holding the sync button press the power button to turn on the console

Continue to hold the sync button until the Console has booted up completely.

During the boot process the console should clear any failed updates, allowing you to use it normally."

This worked for me.

I found the update under extras downloaded it loaded up the game and it tells me that a update is available and is strongly advised to download it.

Went back to the dashboard downloaded it again which only took a seconded because it's already downloaded booted up the game and it's still asking to download the update.

There were no available updates for my device and I performed a clean boot but the noise is still there.

I've had issues like that before, but either 1) Doing a full power cycle by pressing the Xbox button down on the console for ten seconds until it shuts off, unplug for a few minutes, then plug it back in and power it back up or 2) Let it stay on the boot
screen for what seems like longer than it should and it finally moves past to the dashboard has resolved the issue.

Outside of that, I'd look into the offline system update if available. Let us know if that's really not an option, or the reboots/waiting doesn't work.

Please see below on how to check you console for updates. Also, try doing a hard reset to see if this resolves your Xbox not reading discs. To do this with your console on, hold the power button down for 10 seconds until it quickly shuts off. Then power
the console back on (expect a slower boot time).

1. Scroll left from Home to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All Settings.
4. Under System, select Console info & updates.
5. Available updates will show in the second button down in the first column.
   
   If an update is available, the button will read Update Available. If your console is already on the current release build, the button will be grayed out and will read No update available.
