It seems an update might have bricked my console

As WPAK has said, I would recommend a Factory Reset. If this doesn't work, it could be your network.

I bought it the day the Kinect came out.

After digging around on the net, I found a place that has all the updates in order.

It seems the updates are not cumulative.

I have no idea which update bricked mine, but there seems to be a possibility the system is hung up waiting on that exact update to finish.

So, my next line of attack is to start at the time I bought the console, and try to update, one at the time, until I hopefully can find the one it is waiting on and finish the update.

Some places even say it might be waiting for a update file on a game that might have been in the console when it was trying to update.

This could take a while.

This particular update seems to be bricking consoles. I’m nervous about updating now.

Your best bet would be to contact support.

Its possible the update might have gone wrong and bricked your console.
