It says I'm in a family, but I'm not and now Microsoft won't let me play multiplayer Minecraft.

Sorry, I was very unclear with my earlier question.

I have a Mojang account that was transferred into a Microsoft account, but when I started up Minecraft, it wouldn't let me join multiplayer, and I now I can't change my settings or check what family i'm apparently in since I'm in a family for some reason.

I understand, that's exactly why I advised you to create a new family group, to enter this new one and leave the supposed old group, that should solve the problem.

create an account, and add your minecraft account to a family account, and with the new account manage privacy settings and release the option to play multiplayer.

Let's use minecraft as an example

Trying to select multiplayer brings up the message Multiplayer is disabled. Please check your Microsoft account settings

The issue is I can't, it leads me to a redirect saying that if you're seeing this it's because you're not allowed within your family

I've never been in a microsoft family

So when I try to check if I'm in a family, i use the same email and password and everything

But sign into a different account

It's still me, but not associated with the xbox account

What do I do

This is really annoying
