it says Can't Download Gears of War 3 at %80

This is happening second time to me.

I have bought Gears of War 3 from the ultimate sale in Xbox Live Gold thing. and I did make sure of that game has no region lock or anything. I checked this with the language change section in xbox website and game was still purchasable. The problem is it
stops downloading at %80 and says Can't Download Gears of War 3

no extra informations. I tried 2 times. clread cache and stuff.

This download error thing happened to me before as I said in the beggining of this message. I bought Red Dead Redemption 2 months ago and it was stopping downloading at %80 as well. But it turned out that that game has region lock and not possible to play
in my region. I understand that. But, what's the problem this time that causes the game I purchased stops downloading again? This game has no region lock and I checked that before I buy it. So why I can't download it?

I seriously had enough to see Can't Download it error in the screen, it's annoying.

Games won't download

Hi, I have codes for Gears of war and Gears of war 3 that I redeem but can't download. What happens with both games is when the download reaches to 80% on my xbox 360 the console says can't download. I think that they're region locked and I live in the Bahamas.
What can be done about this? I really want to get into the Gears of war series!

 

Bioshock won't download

I can't download Bioshock either, the download stops at 40KB in the storage bit of options, despite it going up to 80% in downloads until it says it can't download. Tried all the stuff suggested in other threads, any ideas?

 

Well checking the website won't help

FYI gears of war is region locked using the website to bypass the locks just avoids the error but won't work because your IP

To get the game your account region and actual region has to match

 

Changing the locale won't work it just displays info based on the locale not what is available in your region

If you are in an Xbox live region them you must use your Actual regional account this is the same as red dead redemption

Any triple a title and especially halo and violent games like gears will have region locks

Gears of wars has been region locked since day 1 because of the bans in certain countries

 

Actually when I had en error on downloading Red Dead Redemption, xbox support told me that I can check the game I wanna buy If it's available in my region by changing the language from the xbox main website. And If I see it in my region language then it
should be available.

and in my latest conversation with xbox support team, they clarified that this game has no region locks. But the problem might be different.

 

Gears of War 3 is definitely region locked.

Also, changing the region on the Xbox website is not always a good indicator of whether or not you will be able to download the game. For region locked games your account location and your physical location have to match. So even if you are in a region where
the game is available, you will still run into the same issue if your account region doesn't match.

 

Seems to be several problems for a large majority of gamers.. At the moment there are issues with buying and downloading things plus some of the ea servers are down on mass effect, and Fifa amongst others. I am still waiting for a response for my problems

Cuz I'm trying to change my region at the moment and can't do it aswell. Maybe it's related to that service issue. I don't know.

 

I managed to change my region now, and let's see If it's gonna stop downloading at %80 or not.

 

That doesn't garentee it will work

Gears of war is region locked

If you had purchased it the correct way and in region it would work however you queued the UK or us or whatever regional gears of war which is forever in your download queue

You would have to repurchase the game if it shows up

If it doesn't show up as buy it won't work as it would only redownload the previous regions version

For the best experience with Xbox live your account region should reflect your actual region

Region locked content doesn't transfer between regions even with region migration

 

Well I changed my account region to my actual location right now and the game is downloaded with no problem. My problem is solved that way.

I wasn't excited to change my region before because my actual region has so limited xbox live features. That's why I did not want to change it before. But not choice, I had to change it anyway.

Conclusion, Gears of War 3 is really a region locked game and my problem is solved after I change my region. (I am sad I won't be able to see and benefit from ultimate sales & deals and other xbox live stuff)
