It said i would have multiplayer

The day before Christmas i got my xbox one s 500gb and i redeemed my 14 day xbl trial but when i tried to play multiplayer it kept trying to make me pay for xblg so then i tried to re redeem the code and it told me code already redeemed and i wasnt sble
to download free music i waited a few day to see if it wold work but of course i got the same results and i refuse to become and xblg member if i dont get the 14 days i was promised

downloading GTA IV from the games marketplace

hi everyone i'm just wondering if i downloaded GTA IV from the marketplace wether i would be able to play multiplayer i know it says multiplayer none but people have said multiplayer might be available can someone please confirm this please

I have xbox live gold but my xbox doesn't even acknowledge it.

My problem is that i have xbox live gold 1 month. It says it in the my subscription in the settings menu and on the microsoft account. I have 2 games that i tryed to enter multiplayer with. The first one said to gain multiplayer privilages i have to get
the xbox live gold even though i had it! I was unable to access multiplayer. I said well if i try to at least simulate a buy by saying 1 month gold and then cancel it would work but no. If i waited 10 seconds before saying cancel it would tell me my account
is past due even though i checked that the xbox live purchases with my credit card have been completed and didn't fail and i can't pay my past due as it said i can. I then decided to try with another game and it said i dont have the privileges for multiplayer
so i tryed to go to network and test my multiplayer connection and it said all is good. I have auto renew on and i have 6 days before i renew again. I can't say if i had this problem before as the past three weeks i haven't played multiplayer. Any help?

First I'm not sure where you were getting the idea that you would get free music.

The xbox live gold subscription only allows you to play online multiplayer and do party chat with your friends.

Now if you have a paid gold subscription they do have what they call games with gold which information on that can be found here Games with Gold | Xbox Live

That only comes with a paid subscription.

Now sometimes the system memory will think that you do not have the gold subscription (even trial ones) and you would need to do a power cycle of the console by:

1. hold down the power button for about 10 seconds for the system to shut off

2. unplug for approximately a minute

3. plug back in

4. sign back into account

5. try to start a party.

No one in these forums can issue you a new code.

I do not know if xbox support can issue you one or not you would have to contact them to see if there is a possibility for them to issue you one they can be contacted by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us

Personally I would have prefered an extra 30 hours campaign story to the multiplayer. I don't understand why every game needs a multiplayer.... some games are great as single player games. Same with Dead space 2.... it would have been better if the developers
put the time they used to make the multiplayer into extra single player story..... but that said each to their own.

I feel as though games developers have the idea now that Multiplayer is a must, most recently EA with every game they release. Dead Space no, Battlefield 3, yes. Every game doesn't require Multiplayer.

What about Co-op multiplayer? Does that count or is it all multiplayer? I would have said Metro 2033 was the last single player shooter.

They basically do if you have read about what sort of account you created, gold or silver. If you read the description of the game it would have said multiplayer, and in order to play multiplayer you need gold.
