It keeps saying “ Your security info change is still pending” and I didn’t do it how can I...

I downloaded the app and it's saying the same thing in the app. Copied and pasted it below.

Your security info will be replaced after 30 days, on 1/5/2024. Until then, you won't be able to sign in to your account unless you can use your current security info or a trusted device.

Sign in to the Security page for your Microsoft account. account.microsoft.com > Security.

On the Your security info change is still pending window, select the link, cancel this request, and follow the prompts. You'll need access to these security proofs to complete the cancel request.

2. If you're not the person who made the security change and suspect your account was compromised, do the following:

If you had changed security info on your Microsoft Account, your account will be on pending state for 30 days. This is done to protect and alert you in case the security info was removed by someone who had unauthorized access to your account. However, we can't expedite the 30-day process unless you cancel the request.

We have checked the case number and it contains details about your contact with support. It looks that your account is unrecoverable, thus it was suspended to prevent hackers from accessing and using the account.

We know that you have reached out to the live support team with the hope that they can help you recover your account from being hacked. Thus, we know that you have been told to wait for security info change that is still pending for 30 days.

However, the specifics of the 30-day waiting period for a security information change are covered in its own support article. - “Your security info change is still pending” or “You can’t access this site right now” Microsoft account message - Microsoft Support.

According to the support article, this 30-day pending period occurs when:

... all the security info (such as alternate contact methods) that you previously added to your account was removed and replaced with new info and you need to wait 30-days for the changes to take effect.

The security information will be used to alert you if someone from somewhere attempts to access your account and update your personal information. Where in the absence of this, you may not notice any changes to the account.

I know what it's like to leave all of your game achievements behind because I've been there, but it's not too late to benefit from this experience. As your technical support, I would encourage you, to act NOW and secure all of your remaining accounts so that this issue of being hacked will not be feasible if you will be notified since you put your security information. I do so every 6months even my password gets changed every 6months
