    I got tired of the constant updates on a data cap, so I decided to opt out. It said pending, so I was playing a game minding my business when a screen pops up saying time for an update. It shows my os as 10.0.19041.5080 and target os as 10.0.19041.4981 and keeps failing at 1% verification. Support says there's no chat for this issue (what even?) And the offline method did not work, it failed and I had to go through setup again, except I can't get through because I still cannot update. What do I do?

    Xbox Series X keeps shutting off

    Im having the same issue

    I believe its the most recent update

    I was in the insider program and was having this issue trying to play outriders

    And after i un enrolled and degraded to the previous update it worked fine until they pushed this new one out and im back to having the issue again

    Un enroll from nxe update

    If you're using the NXOE update you'll also have to factory reset and possible perform the offline diagnostics after un-enrolling in order to revert back to the non preview dashboard

    opt out preview programme

    You can un-enrol on your Xbox, by going to the Xbox Preview Dashboard app and un-enrolling from the preview updates. This will only change to stop the updates once the current update wave has ended.

    Want to leave Preview Program

    Is there a possibility that someone else that has access to your console has enrolled it? If so then they'll have to un-enroll by going to the Preview app selecting "registration" clicking on "Change" and then "Remove"

    The console will then be un-enrolled when the next public update hits.

    In case there is no one else that could of enrolled it then your best bet is to post about it on the preview forums forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx

    if you don't have access then please create a post here forums.xbox.com/.../4268.aspx requesting access to the preview forums for support with your issue

    Hi Biig Glyn,

    You can't really just roll back. You need to un-enroll your device in the preview program dashboard app. Then wait for the next big update to take your console out of the program. No one can give you an ETA on the un-enrollment status or when the next big
    update will come, so it may take a while.
