Issues with Train Sim World 2020 on Xbox Gamepass

I played Train Sim World 2020 last year through Xbox Gamepass, but my PC was not the right spec, so I cancelled the subscription. I now have a more decent spec PC, and so on 14/8/2021 started a Gamepass subscription again and downloaded TSW 2020. However, after numerus attempts, it will not load, I get a CTD at splash screen. I have sent a ticket to Dovetail Games and they sent a list of instructions but all 11 suggestions has not worked. Things I have tried:

* It is not my PC spec

* Clean Uninstall

* Windows Page File check

* downloaded latest DirectX, Visual C++ etc

* Have latest Windows 10 updated

* Have latest AMD Graphics drivers

Seems like there is another problem as now I have to pay £25 (recently discounted to £12.75) for the game even though I pay £7.99 a month! I really would like a refund of £7.99 as I have not downloaded any other game in the last few days. Unless someone knows what the issue is...? Thanks Tim

On the plus side, TSW 2 was just added to Game Pass. Just pointing that out for you. Good Luck,

Thanks for your quick response. I started subscription with gamepass on the 14th August and had no issues with downloading at all. My issue has been with the game crashing at launch at not playing the game at all! I had to uninstall three times and the fourth time it said I had to pay £25. I was thus unaware they were taking TSW 2020 off Gamepass. Rather annoying and wasted so many hours aswell as £7.99

i would have got it elsewhere like steam, it works then.

Once again thanks for the reply. I have since purchased TSW 2020 and still get a CTD at launch splash screen. I just can’t figure out why it won’t work. I have MSFS 2020 installed and despite the issues after updates I can still play it, TSW is not as graphically intense as that!
