Issues with remote installation on Game Pass app.

Hi there if you are wanting to remote install games on the game pass download the game pass app as the xbox app does not do this. As for it not loading things there are known connection issues that will hopefully resolved soon. Hope you are safe and well

I'm having the same issue on 2 Xbox One S's.

Game Pass app for Android 9.

Xbox OS version 10.0.18362.6065

(19h1_release_xbox_dev_1908.190807-1720)

Version is the same on both consoles.

•Power mode set to instant-on.

•Turning off storage when powered off is unchecked.

•Allow remote installations is checked

•Show progress remotely is checked

•All Xbox App Connectivity options are enabled

Tried toggleing options above and restarting.

Tried soft factory reset.

Tried clearing cache for Game Pass app.

did u ever figure out how to fix this, or did anyone? I have the same issue with the Game Pass app on Android, it can't detect my Xbox One that's on the same network, I can't do any remote installations & therefore can't complete the Xbox Pass quest for
doing a mobile installation...

Apologies for the delayed response as I was away for the year. Have you been able to get your PC Game Pass games to install on your computer? You mentioned that they worked 2 weeks ago from your original post. Were there any updates you applied to your PC or updates to the app? Below are two additional recommended solutions.

Solution 1: Remotely install and manage games | Xbox Support we can try to remote install the games from your mobile device to the PC, as this has worked as a workaround to fix install issues.

Solution 2:

1. open the Xbox app
   
2. Sign-out
   
3. locate any game you wish to install, and press install
   
4. you will be prompted to sign in
   
5. Sign back into the app and hit install again
   
6. See if this starts the install with no errors
   

If these issues persist and all recommended solutions are not resolving the issue. The only solution I would recommend at that point is a clean install to fix whatever problems continue with the OS and Game Pass. I had had to clean install my PC once when I had a similar issue, and after doing that, I have been good to go with no problems.

How you fix it?

The problem is the Game Pass App on Windows even if Microsoft won't admit it.

If you use the Game Pass App on your phone, it will allow you to "remote" install the games on your PC. Just make sure to select PC games tab otherwise it will assume you're trying to install on an Xbox console.
