Issues with my Microphone in Ingame Voice chat

Hello,

I've been having the same problem for a few months now and decided to seek help. When I'm playing Apex Legends my microphone only works when I'm in an xbox party with the people I'm playing with. As soon as I play with random people that I'm not in a party
with I can hear them but they can't hear me although the Xbox recognizes my headset and microphone. Do I have to forward any ports in my router? I've talked to a few people and none of them had a smiliar problem yet.

If you haven't already Update your controller firmware.
There was a new release of firmware update recently. also make sure you check your audio settings in the system menu its as simple as having that off or the one in the broadcasting menu

Check to make sure you don't have "strict" on your router under the settings for the xbox connection

Party chat is more private, where as ingame chat everyone in that session or within proximity of you will hear your voice, and you can hear their voices.

Hello, could you please state which game this occurs with, and if your microphone is properly working. In some games such as Black Desert Online they have limited ingame chat, which is constant of only guild members, as well as you must go ingame to turn
the game chat on.
