    Xbox 360 - Error 801540A9 (Downloading Profile)

    Hey,

    I am trying to download my profile my Xbox 360 (Xbox Live account was created in the Windows 10 microsoft site), however when I put in my email and app password I am presented with the following message: "Sorry, there's a problem with the credentials
    that you're using to sign in. Go to https://account.live.com to fix the problem." It then says a couple of lines below "801540A9". I am pretty sure that all the login credentials are correct so I'm not sure what the issue is exactly.

    Please help! I have one month to use the paid for Ultimate pkg and I would love to use it!

    To solve this issue just load your profile into an xbox 360, even if that is you friend's console or a store's console you just need to upload your account once and after that you are good to go.

    Hello there.

    I had a similar issue but all I had to do was when the message appears to download a profile, continue with that and just enter the log in details that you have for your Xbox One profile. You don't have to create the profile on an Xbox 360. Like when I made
    one for my son way back when, I fist made the account on outlook.com and downloaded that to the 360.

    Also, I've found varying success with this in different Xbox 360 BC games. If for some reason it's not working for that particular game, load up another to get it going, then go back to the game you want to play and it should be all good.

    What's the point of Preload?

    Preloading worked for me, far as I could tell, for Destiny. The game was pre-loaded onto my console from a previous digital purchase. When the 360 to Xbox One free upgrade deal was announced I cancelled the digital purchase via Xbox Support, but didn't delete
    the pre-loaded content. On Destiny launch day I bought it on the 360's digital marketplace, then the Xbox One activated and installed the pre-download that I had sitting on the console.

    A download isn't an installation. Unlike the 360, once you download a title it then has to be installed. Installation shouldn't take too long relative to the download time for 44GB on most consumer ISP connections.

    Is it worth pre ordering the Xbox One right now or is it better to wait 6 months incase of any problems with the new console?

    The biggest problem with the Xbox 360 was the overheating issue. Microsoft has made sure to fix that problem with the Xbox One. With that said, it's hard to say if there will be any hardware issues, but I personally think it's worth the risk to pre-order.
