Issues with Game Pass Ultimate not letting family members play at the same time.

It is important to mention that the only way to play at the same time on an account that doesn't own a game, is by enabling the Home Xbox feature.
Game Pass Ultimate doesn't have a family tier for now.

You can enable Home Xbox by opening Settings > General > Personalization > Home > choose “Make this my home Xbox”.
Note: Do this by being logged into the profile that owns the subscription.

Please be aware, the Home Xbox feature can be enabled only on one console.

Oh, if this is the family game pass, it's different, but what you will be able to share is just the game pass library and not the games that you own. I'm sorry for that.

As per the Xbox support site:

"With the Friends & Family plan, all five members enjoy the benefits of Game Pass Ultimate, with their own unique access to all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate games, content, and benefits, regardless of what device they play on. All the people you invite can play at the same time—you can even play together in the same game. Plus, you can include friends and family outside your household."

It is possible to download games you own to an external drive and play them on another Xbox, but it may require some setup.

You can use the "Games & Apps" menu on your Xbox to download games to an external drive, then plug that drive into your fiance's Xbox and install the games from there. However, depending on the game, it may still require you to be signed in to your Xbox profile to play.

Another way is if you both have Xbox game pass you can share your Xbox game pass account and she can use your account to download the games you own and play them on her Xbox.

Put the xbox game pass ultimate under one of their accounts. So for example.. Son#1 has game pass ultimate make his home xbox as the xbox that son#2 uses that way anyone that uses that xbox can use the game pass ultimate without having him sign in since its his home xbox.. what this means is make the xbox one x son#1 home console.. then have son#1 play on the xbox one and have son#2 play on the xbox one X or vice versa.. this is the only way they can both play at the same time using one game pass ultimate account. Because son#1 will have to sign into the xbox one so he can play therefore it wont kick anyone out of the game pass on the xbox one x since thats his home xbox. If theres another way i dont know about it. Because we have 3 xboxs and we can use 2 of them this way at the same time so my son and daughter can both play against each other but unfortunately theres no way to do it on more then 2. It sucks for family's with more then 2 xboxs also sucks when you have more then 2 ppl that want to use the game pass ultimate at the same time. Microsoft needs to change this, my suggestion would be for them to make a family game pass ultimate subscription where you can add your family members up to say 5 or 6 members to your family subscription and they can use game pass ultimate anywhere anytime. That would be nice. But unfortunately this is what we are stuck with for now. Maybe it'll change in the future

Yes, your son and daughter can both use the same Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. The subscription allows for up to six family members to access the games and benefits included in the subscription.



To set this up, you will need to create a Microsoft family group and add both your son and daughter to the group. Once they are added, you can share the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription with the family group.



To share the subscription, sign in to your Microsoft account and go to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate page. From there, select "Manage" and then "Share to a family member." Choose the family member you want to share with and follow the prompts to complete the process.



Your son and daughter will then be able to access the games and benefits included in the subscription on their respective devices.
