Issues with Disney+ on Xbox One X

Hi everyone. Just wondering if this is a common issue or not and when it might be fixed.

From what I can tell, this is an Xbox One X exclusive issue, unless anyone else reports differently. My Brother-in-law & I experience this issue with our One X’s while my Wife, Sister, and Dad have older Xbox’s and do not experience this.

While watching anything on Disney+, after 5-10 minutes it looks like its buffering. After buffering for 45sec-min, a screen pops up that says, “We’re sorry, we’re having trouble connecting you to the service. Please check to see that you are still connected
to the internet, and try again (Error Code 42).” (Screenshot Below)

However, when you search “Error Code 42” on the Disney+ Website, this is what you receive: “This means that the video you are trying to watch cannot he watched at this time. This could be a rights availability or other issue with Disney+”. (Screenshot Below)

Just to clarify: I have checked & reset my internet, I have uninstalled & reinstalled the app, I have restarted my console, and have performed multiple hard resets on the console.

Anyone else having the issue, or can suggest remedy?

No it won’t, only a plain Xbox one and Xbox x|s will work for Disney infinity

Audio issues here but only when streaming movies and shows on Prime Video and Disney Plus so far. The Series X sucks. The One X is/was better.

Hi. One the XBOX ONE X software OSU1 update there is Disney+ APP on the store but if you in SOUTH AFRICA and you do have a Disney+ subscription, like i do. It says that my email is not valid and the DISNEY is not in my area. So i don't know what is up with that.

Hi there,

I myself had not experienced this issue during the playback of a video on my X, only had it happen at the end of a video, but that was during a test phase.

I myself assume it could be caused by the service itself that it can't cope with the number of people watching things. Perhaps it's even resolution related.

I've seen several reports of video playback not working properly since launch, let's hope it will be fixed soon
