    hello,

    first of all i would like to apologize for my possible mistakes in english because i'm not a native speaker.

    So my issue is : I bought a controller for XboxOne (7 days ago) and i'm running on windows7, i tried to connect my controller with various USB cable and followed the guide on the xbox support and the guide said that i should registrer my controller on the support
    (with the serial number) and ask for reparation but my problem is that the service is currently unavaible (but it's unavaible for 5 days maybe) and i get this error code G8SZzo8djECnnFOc.20

    Could some help me because i'm completely doomed (when i say I, i mean me and my 60euros controller that doesn't work)

    Sorry for your issues :( Since Windows 7 is older, it takes a little more to get the Xbox One controller connected. Follow these steps and let us know if you still need help after trying this:

    When you connect an Xbox Wireless Controller to your Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 PC with a micro-USB cable, Windows will automatically download and install the drivers for the controller. If Windows is not set to automatically download device software, you
    can check for updates through Device Manager.

    Update drivers through Device Manager

    Here’s how to check for updates manually in the Device Manager:

    1. Point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, and then select
      Search.
    2. Enter Device Manager in the search box, and then select
      Device Manager
      .

      Note Windows may ask you for an administrator password or to confirm your choice.
    3. Locate and expand Microsoft Xbox One Controller.
    4. Right-click the expanded Microsoft Xbox One Controller and select
      Update Driver Software.
    5. Select Search Automatically for Updated Software.

    With Xbox Wireless or USB connections, you can connect 4 Xbox Wireless Controllers at the same time. You won’t get audio through the controller so there’s no need to connect a headset. Bluetooth connections
    are not supported.

    Notes

    • If the controller doesn't respond, try a different micro-USB cable.
    • To use your Xbox Wireless Controller with your console after using it with a PC, you must re-sync the controller to the console. You can do this by using the wireless sync button or a USB cable. For details, see

    • This information applies only to Xbox One Wireless Controllers. For help with other gamepads or joysticks or for information on configuring a specific game so that you can play it with a controller, refer to the manufacturer’s website.

    Thank you for reaching out. I see you are having a bit of trouble getting your controller serviced so I hope I can help clear up some things for you. Only certain controllers can be registered, most of the standard ones are serviced through registering your
    console. As you are a PC gamer, I would suggest contacting a hardware specialist through live chat or setting up a call at
    Xbox Support and have them setup a service order for you.

    Firstly, thank you for your answer which was quite fast.

    Secondly, my issue doesn't come from a driver, in fact I already have one XboxOne controller (this one gets a bit old now but nevermind) and it connects to my computer perfectly. Also, the controller can connect for 3/4 second if I play with the micro-usb
    cable but it still makes the controller unusable. I think the issue only comes from a hardware problem.

    Currently my main problem is that I'm unable to register my controller on the windows support for reparation.

    Of course i understand that I may not be on the right forum for this problem and if I'm right i will try another topic specificaly for support issue.

    Hello Aquamandrew,

    I'm sorry about your bad experience with a Microsoft Representative, that is unacceptable and shouldn't have happened. Could it be possible you have your Xbox One on glass or something is interfering with the sync? Possibly you could try letting your Xbox
    One sit unplugged for a few minutes to make sure it fully reboots freshly as well. Also, to make sure, he did tell you to push the little silver icon on the side of the console that has an ))) look to it, then hold your sync button on your controller until
    it flashes fast.

    I will gladly try to keep assisting you the best I can, just let me know if you have tried what I suggested and if nothing works or what.
