    Issues when trying to launch Back 4 Blood


    Does anyone else have an issue when trying to launch the game? I am in Skip Ahead, and whenever I attempt to launch it I get a "Getting game ready" message followed by a "Something went wrong" with error 0x80073cf6 and nothing on the website seems to relate that error with my issue. I have reinstalled 4 or 5 times already. This is the only game giving me this issue. I reported it on the console already, but was curious if anyone else ran into this issue/found a workaround.

    Back 4 Blood Not Launching

    I'm Samy an independent advisor. Welcome to the Xbox community. How are you?

    Try using the same account that has the subscription and follow these steps.

    1. Logout from Xbox app and Microsoft Store app

    2. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store in the Windows bar, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset. Do this with the game too.

    3. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

    4. Open the Microsoft Store, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner ''download and updates'' and click on ''get updates'' and update everything. After these steps try again.

    5. Login with your account again in both apps and try again.

    You're welcome. Fingers crossed they get the issues solved quite quickly...it does seem to be a Developer that is more proactive than other Developers given they've already released 2 hotfixes for the game. However, it is troublesome that they have needed 2 hotfixes in 3 days! Having said that, it seems normal these days for most games

    Xbox app on PC not recognizing GamePass ultimate subscription

    I have this same issue. I can not download Back 4 Blood. When I go to the download page, I am told to sign up for the Ultimate Game pass which I already have. No download link, nothing.... I can download all the trash games but not Back 4 Blood.
