    Issues updating games on PC app


    Trying to update Forza and Humankind on the PC app, when clicking the update button for Humankind nothing happens and now apparently Forza does not have enough space to update despite there being 270gb remaining on the drive it is installed on, i think it might be trying to install the update on a different full drive. Does anyone know how to fix either of these?

    Edit- Now Forza appears to have just uninstalled itself

    you need a certain amount of free space on C: even if the game is on another drive, this is for downloading. if you cancel an update on the xbox gamepass pc then it reacts the same as it does on console, it removes the entire game as they don't use file verification like other launchers so it does not know how much of the update is in and cannot verify so deletes the entire install as it maybe corrupt.

    pain in the rear.

    Hi there Jahamas welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I suggest uninstalling the app completely! Everytime that it tried to give me a hard time I do this and it works wonders! Here are the steps!

    • Players experiencing issues updating games within the Xbox App on PC
      • Some recently released games on the Xbox App for PC are not reflecting the correct update. If you encounter an issue updating a game within the Xbox app or indicates that an update is required, but the Xbox app does not show one available, use the Windows 10 Store to download and install the update.
      • To Update your game Via the Windows Store, click on this link for guidance. Get updates for apps and games in Microsoft Store
      • After your games finish updating, launch the Xbox App on PC, and your game should now launch normally from within the Xbox App
