    Issues transferring characters from Borderlands 2 GOTY from 360 to One


    I'm trying to move my BL2 character saves from my 360 to my One, but have run into an issue. I can successfully upload a character from my 360 to the cloud, but when I go to my Xbox One and go to Cloud Save, it doesnt have an option for downloading the character.
    It just has "upload character file" instead. This results in an "Upload failure" message.

    I dont have an Xbox Gold membership; is one required to transfer data via the cloud? Or, is the Game of the Year version of BL2 not supported for transfers? I can play it just fine on Xbox One, but i dont want to start from a level 1character again.

    All updates were installed this past weekend.

    I think you do need xbox live to transfer data, but i know the servers are still active and it should still be possible

    I JUST DID THIS LAST WEEK.

    You need to have the cross-character update installed on both the 360 version and the XONE version. I had to fire up my 360 and load up BL2 from my disc, and accept the title update. Once I did this I could upload my character from the main menu. As soon
    as I did this, it popped up in my XONE Game Pass version to dload.

    The problem here is that your original 'cloud save' does not contain your character. You need to enable cross-save via the update to the 360 game.

    I can't see not why not having a gold account would be a problem, as cloud game saves are available across all accounts.

    Well, got the month of Xbox Ultimate Pass/Gold with the $1 promo.

    Nothing. Still no option to download my character onto the Xbox One after uploading my character from the 360 to the cloud. All I can do is start over with a level-1 character. Double-checked that all updates are installed. This blows.
