    Issues installing disk version of Halo 3 ODST


    When I put the ODST campaign disk in it launches the BluRay app, and it gives me a "cant´t play disk" error message including the code (0x91d70001), tried it multiple times and this would always happen. So I uninstalled the BluRay app to see if that would
    force the Xbox to read the disk as a game but that prompts me to go to the store and download the BR app to play the disk.

    Halo 3: ODST to release 29/05/2015

    You can for the 360 still but as far as playing the Xbox One version you need to already have the MCC as it is integrated into the interface.

    "The Halo 3: ODST campaign will also be available as downloadable content for Halo: The Master Chief Collection through the Xbox Store for $4.99."

    Thank you M$ and 343 for ruining Halo

    Halo ODST didn't have a MP, it's MP was Halo 3, so anyone playing the ODST MP disk would have counted towards Halo 3, not ODST.

    so what you're saying is halo3's muliplayer online numbers were inflated by odst owners?

    and if odst had contained it's own muliplayer then halo3 might have had a lower playerbase than it did. making halo 4 numbers look better. ok lol

    As the list shows Games on Demand it's possible that the disc version is not supported. Are you able to try the disc on another console?

    Unfortunately not, is it common for discs not to work on one console? My Xbox doesn't have issues reading discs, that i've noticed, at least

    Who has Halo 3?

    Not me, don't have enough space on my harddrive to fit any games on it. Also Bungie said it hinders the performance of the game. Can't remember if it is better to install the Halo 3 multiplayer disk though. I know Halo 3: ODST it is better to install
    on harddrive.

    Halo 3: ODST was not included as part of the Master Chief Collection. There was a redemption code sent out for it for some users of MCC as a make-good, which added the single-player version of ODST to the MCC. If you redeemed it then, then it would be available
    as DLC on the account that redeemed it.

    Go to My Games & Apps -> Games -> Halo MCC and press Menu, then choose Manage Game. If this account redeemed it, it will appear in "Ready to Install".

    If you own the Xbox 360 version of Halo 3 ODST, you can install the single-player version through back-compat.
