    Issues downloading games on the Xbox app on PC


    I have been trying to download Halo Wars 2 Complete Edition for almost 5 days now, which I bought, I did not use Xbox Game Pass and do not have it. Within about 2 or 3 minutes of starting the download it gets to 2% complete and will either say 38.1 MBs are done or 243.5 MBs are done then the download will freeze (I have restarted it several times now and it freezes each time at one of these two points). I have tried resetting my Xbox app, I have tried repairing it, I am using admin privileges, I have restarted my PC, I am not sure what else I can really do. Anytime I try to download anything else I have zero issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Which beta app are you having issue downloading? The Xbox Console Companion App (Beta) or the Xbox Game Pass for PC app (Beta)? You'll need to have he beta companion app downloaded first before you can download the PC game pass app (beta) and you will also
    need to have Windows update version 1903.

    Restart your PC and then make sure you have the requirements to download the PC game pass app.

    Hi there TJSluder welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Well, I suggest you try this:

    Open the Settings app it is the gear in the start menu.

    Open Accounts

    Click Sign-in Options

    Scroll down to Privacy

    Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."

    Restart your PC!

    I had this issue also for some reason on fm20

    I had to download via the app, selecting pc games and then download to pc

    Works fine now so not sure what the issue was
