    Issues adding another account to xbox one x


    Hi All,

    So we have two xbox's in our household and have always used the game sharing feature which worked perfectly.

    I recently upgraded mine to xbox one x, and now I can not add the other account. The error it gives is that the password is incorrect but we know this is not true because exactly the same password works on the other console in the
    house. We also tried resetting the password for that account and again we get the same issue even though we know what we are entering is 100% correct.

    Why would this be? Has anyone else had a similar issue?

    The only thing I can think of is because that account is still linked on my old console, so maybe I need to spark that back up and remove the account from there first, but that would not explain the error message that the password is incorrect.

    Its very odd.

    All help and suggestions welcome.

    Thank you he has Gold and both consoles are at my home his brother at moment has PS4 and he has xbox I have ordered them one of each again as they keep fighting so thought it might be better if they had one each of both and then things might be better
    but dident want to pay for gold again or his brothers PS4 might be ok thanks.

    His account can be on both consoles, but if you're wanting to play when he's not there, you cannot be signed into the same account at the same time. So you would need your own account. If he has gold on his account, you would need to have him set the console
    you would be using as his Home console so you can share his gold.

    My games are gone

    I had a similar issue after transferring from my old Xbox One to my new X. I ended up removing my account from the X and then adding it back in to resolve the issue. Everything was there after I added my account back to the system.

    Sorry to hear it. A gold membership is linked to the account that purchased it and, although it will follow the purchasing account from the Xbox One to the 360 it will not share from one account to another on the 360.

    As for the payment issue, try adding it at account.microsoft.com

    Adding another instance here as well.

    I have 2 series X in the same house on the same network, one is brand new and is experiencing this issue. Tried all the troubleshooting and it didn't resolve.
