Issue with Xbox live gold purchased on black friday

Hi, I'm getting issues with Xbox live gold. It does work with games with gold and deals with gold but when it comes to online multiplayer, i cannot use it. In Forza horizon 3, it says you need a gold membership and in need for speed, it promts to buy a gold
membership even if i have it. When i cancel the prompt, the MP works fine. I have tried to contact the xbox support via live chat but this is weekend and it isn't available. I purchased the gold membership by the black friday deal. Help anyone.

Issue with xbox live gold membership

I purchased the $1 Xbox Live Gold black friday deal and i tried playing a game and tried joining party but it just took me to a page to buy an xbox live gold membership. So i kept trying to play a game and join a party, I even restarted my xbox, removed
my account from my xbox and put it back back on but still didnt work. So i purchased the $10.95 xbox live gold membership and it still didnt work.

1 year of Live Gold for $39 until 2/1 only on Amazon.

Yeah, Target had Xbox live 3 month gold member cards for 10 each on Black Friday. Scooped up 4. I'm set til 2015 myself. But, may have to get more at that price. Thanks!

If you have recently renewed your Gold subscription, your console may not immediately see the account change.

In cases like this, you simply need to perform a
power cycle.
