Issue with Talon Media Remote

Let me start by describing my setup. I have a panasonic tv mounted on a wall in my family room with my receiver and xbox one below my family room in my basement. I have this sewell blaster kit connecting everything along with a logitech harmony remote.BlastIR Classic by Sewell, Remote Control Extender Kit (IR Emitter and Receiver) - SewellDirect.com

I just purchased the Talon Media Remote since my wife had be complaining about having to use the xbox controller for netflix and youtubetv (recently cut the cable cord). I can use the remote to watch netflix and youtube tv but I cant change the volume,
use mute, or turn on the xbox with it. I currently have to use my logitech remote to turn on the receiver and tv then turn the xbox controller on to use the talon remote. I have already followed the talon instructions and attempted to add the receiver and
tv. The biggest problem is testing out the commands to see if they work since the xbox and receiver are in my basement. Is there something I am missing? Do I have to add a connection between the xbox and receiver? Currently the IR emitters only go from
the control box to the xbox and receiver independently. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

XBOX One Talon Media Remote

I just got a Talon for christmas and love it! But i do know that it should sync up and control my tv as well as my XBOX One, but im not sure hot to sync it. Ive seen some people say it came out of the box and controlled their tv. Mine does not. I have a
RCA tv not very new at all but not old either. Any help would be great, would like my remote to control my tv as well as my XBOX One

 

Talon and media remote not working to operate tv

I've tried researching as much as I could on the issue but nothing has worked and am still confused about the RF cable solution.

The talon remote does not work as advertized. It does not control the volume, mute, channel, and power to the tv. I'm not sure if an RF cable is the solution or not. The information I've looked at seems to give different accounts.

Can someone please help?

its the volume not from the tv but the onkyo receiver I have connected.
