    Issue with game, uninstalled, reinstalled. No save files exsist. How to restore old saves?...


    As title says. I was playing a game then had some issues so decided to just reinstall to see if that fixed it. On other platforms i've had no issue with this but after reinstalling my save files are gone, I see no way to restore them from my computer as
    the file system in nonsensical. Could I get it back from the cloud somehow? Game was CrossCode on the xbox game pass for PC.

    Did you play while connected to xbox live? If so they will have automatically uploaded to the cloud.

    You say this is happening... but I have news for you... It is NOT.

    Just tested this with several games.

    And you can't say I wasn't logged in because you can see I got achievements from playing... wouldn't get those achievements if I wasn't logged in.

    Either the cloud is down or something is going on, but people uninstalling games right now
    LOSE EVERYTHING.

    You Agents and Ambassadors need to actually do something, forward the issue, like you are supposed to. THIS IS A BETA TEST, there are going to be errors. REPORT THEM up the chain.


    STOP TELLING EVERY CUSTOMER THEY ARE WRONG.

    Hey there

    Has long has you play signed in and connected too xbox live your saves are on the cloud. Reinstalling the game wont effect that unless you also uninstalled the saves.

    I dont want to upload them, I need a way to get them back if possible. Losing about 10 hours of progress because for some reason they don't keep the save files in a different location that apparently isn't overwritten when you reinstall a game.
