    Hello,

    I was having some problems with Frostpunk so I decided to uninstall and then reinstall it. To my surprise, all my saves were lost. How can I get them back? And shouldn't the Xbox App have an option so that when you want to uninstall the saved files won't get deleted?

    This is very frustrating, those saves contain hours and hours of gameplay.

    Please help me.

    You could try to see if the game save is still on your computer. According to PCGamingWiki, Frostpunk saves should be located at:

    %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\11bitstudios.Frostpunk_gwy9gn5q9j1y6\LocalState\saves\

    If the save is not located there or on any Frostpunk folder, I would say it was lost. Sorry about that.

    I only uninstalled the game and installed it right after. I checked there, no saved files :(

    most gamepass pc games do not have cloud saves and therefore are saved in various locations depending on where the devs place them.

    This is where the saves usually reside from the microsoft store/xbox app

    %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\11bitstudios.Frostpunk_gwy9gn5q9j1y6\LocalState\saves\

    the xbox app does not delete save when you uninstall a game, but if you reset or uninstall the xbox app this may cause issues. i know they changed some save locations within the app a few months ago, so if you go to the location above and copy the contents to the new location if there is one then it should restore it, back it up first though.
