I am experiencing an issue with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, purchased on Steam. After completing the game download and performing at least three full reinstallations, I am still receiving the error message “Insufficient space”, despite having plenty of free space on the disk. Additionally, Steam keeps trying to download packages that are already present on my PC, even though they are visible in the installation folder.

Here are the details of my system and the steps I have already taken to resolve the issue:

System Details:

• PC: VICTUS Laptop
  
• Operating System: Windows 11
  
• Processor: Intel Core i5 12450H
  
• Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 6 GB
  
• RAM: 16 GB
  
• Disks: Internal SSD for Steam installation (Microsoft Flight Simulator is installed on this internal SSD)
  

Issue Details:

1. “Insufficient Space” Error: Despite having sufficient space on the disk, the game does not launch correctly, and Steam keeps trying to redownload packages that are already present in the installation folder.
   
2. Repeated Reinstallation: I have reinstalled Microsoft Flight Simulator at least three times, but the issue persists. Even after reinstallation, Steam continues to redownload packages that are already present on my PC.
   
3. File Integrity Verification via Steam: I have already verified the game files via Steam, and Steam confirms that all files are validated.
   
4. Already Present Files: The official and flight package files are visible in the installation folder, but the game does not recognize them and attempts to redownload them anyway.
   
5. Package Path: The path for the packages in the UserCfg.opt file is correct and points to the right folder where the game packages are saved.
   

What I’ve Already Tried:

• Verified the integrity of the files via Steam.
  
• Modified the UserCfg.opt file to correct the package path.
  
• Manually moved the packages to the correct folder.
  
• Disabled extra packages that might cause downloads.
  
• Cleared Steam’s cache.
  

Despite these attempts, the problem persists, and the game does not launch correctly. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue, ideally without having to redownload everything again.
