Issue with disc installation on WD storage card

Hi, I recently purchased a Western Digital 1TB Storage Expansion Drive for Series X from their official website, and when installing a game from the optical drive to this drive, I get an error (0x8007139f), ask me to reboot and try again. If it is the internal storage, this error does not occur, but if it is installed by default by the expansion unit or the internal storage is full, the aforementioned occurs. I don't know if this happens in the Seagate units or in the Series S, finally to clarify I am not part of the Insider program in any ring, I would like to know if the problem is with my hardware (console-reader or NVME unit), that they are new units and have room for improvement compared to the Seagates that have been on the market for 2 years or a Software problem. Thank you.

Did you format the drive? That error is usually tied to permissions

I understand that you are experiencing issues installing your game via game disc.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please check the disc for scratches or amage because even after cleaning, scratches can cause installation problems. To do this, hold the disc up to light and check for visible scratches or marks.

If scratches are present, consider using a disc replacement.

And then ensure sufficient storage space because installation may stop if there isn’t enough space on your console. Go to Settings > System > Storage.

Check available storage and free up space if needed.

Next is to clear persistent storage by going to Settings > Devices & Connections > Blu-ray > Persistent Storage. Select Clear Persistent Storage.

Then install the game offline. Please disconnect from the internet (Settings > Network > Go Offline). Insert the game disc and install it offline.

After installation, reconnect to the internet for updates.

If incase the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly use another Xbox console to confirm if it’s a disc issue. Test the disc on another Xbox console to see if it installs past 17%. If the problem persists on another console, the disc is possibly damaged.

If you are having problems while the install disc in installing:

Delete any GTA V install data that is on the Xbox 360 storage device

Clear the Xbox 360 Cache: System Settings->Storage->Highlight Storage Device and Press Y->Choose Clear Cache->Confirm

Re-attempt the installation.

If you are still experiencing the error, please try installing to a different memory device.

If the problem persists for all memory devices, please try the disc in another console to confirm whether the disc or the console is the issue.
