  1. Issue with audio when enabling VRR?

I have played on monitors all the way back to Xbox 360 and yesterday when purchasing a new monitor I ran into a new issue… I have a Series S and purchased a 1920x1080 165hz monitor just to run 120hz for the games I play. When going through video settings I enabled VRR and when it is enabled I experience bad audio lag but only in Xbox party. My voice cuts in and out when talking to friends and when they talk it is very choppy. Wondering if anyone has ever had this issue or knows anything?

Xbox currently does not support monitors in the range of 61-119Hz. Will the Series S/X support this? Can The One X be Software Updated?

you cant change refresh rate when vrr is enabled as the console is using variable refresh rate, if you get me, so you set at 60, you enable vrr then it ignores the 60 as you cannot change that or access that setting when vrr is enabled.

Xbox Series X Frame Rate Issue

When I set it to 120Hz by overriding it, the VRR option gets grayed out. When I set it back down to 60 Hz, i can enable VRR again. On 60Hz with or without VRR enabled, there is no stuttering. I also have tried all of these iterations with free sync enabled and disabled on my monitor.

    Monitor with 120hz and VRR

Does your monitor support both VRR and 120Hz on Xbox? I have read that only specfic monitors out there support both enabled. For awhile the VRR was only supported at 60Hz but there are some monitors now that will allow you to enable both VRR and 120Hz.

How to enable variable refresh rate?

May I also point out that to enable VRR (Variable Refresh rate), you also need VRR capable TV or monitor.

VRR works on both 60Hz and 120Hz.

Issues with VRR and audio lag

165hz is a nonstandard refresh rate achieved by doing modifications to the hardware

The electronics and software inside the TV determine performance. The same panel is frequently on a $300 and $1500 TV. That hardware has to be able to keep up with the onscreen action, which has proven difficult for some displays. It would help if you give us the exact model you have
