Issue with an xbox live acount.

So i'm having an issue with an xbox live account it is not my account but my brothers. I do have full access to it though.

its not an issue with the xbox itself because when I log into another account on the same xbox one or i'm not logged in everything runs fine.

but as soon as I log into my brothers account everything becomes unresponsive.

pressing the home button ether causes the menu to freeze or the opposite, everything but the menu freezes and becomes unresponsive.

trying to launch a game does not work and just closes the game while logged in. launching a game logged into another account on the same xbox one works perfectly fine, however if I log out of that account and into my brothers the game will start behaving
odd and act as if the game was being launched for the first time (no saves), and will often crash anyway.

all of the images on the dashboard go blank when logging into the account too. I can't access the settings when logged in the bugged account but I can with another account.

again this seems to be an issue with the account itself not the xbox one since when logged into any other account or not logged in at all there are no problems what so ever everything works fine.

I seem to have fixed the problem. hard resetting the console and deleting then adding the account did not work.

however when I deleted the account and re-added it after I hard reset the console the problem was fixed.

I don't know if this is temporary though. it might happen again, if it does I will repost here.

power cycle
of the console.

If the problem persists, try doing a
soft factory reset of the console,
Reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know the account credentials for the Xbox profiles and a stable internet connection.

Try this out and let us know the results.

Hi there

Try removing your brothers account from the xbox and adding it back.

if that don't work I would recommend contacting xbox support to see if they can find out what's wrong with the account.
