    Issue with Amazon Prime app on Xbox One since the Windows 10 / Experience update


    The video quality of the Amazon Prime app has severely diminished since the Xbox One Experience update.

    It looks like the video streaming is hampered by the update. It looks like a stream over a bad connection.

    I can switch to a Roku device on the same switch and the Amazon Prime app worked perfectly. I can watch Netflix and Hulu on the Xbox One without issue, but it's just the Amazon Prime video app that has been adversely effected by the update. As a result,
    I no longer use the Xbox One apps to watch video content.

    Anyone else have this issue?

    Xbox app streaming not (any longer) supports two controllers ?

    Hi,

    I've been having the same issue since the last update (2 weeks ago). This is NOT a Windows 10 nor Xbox ONE controller's issue, because I can perfectly use 4 controllers to control both Steam games and Xbox ONE Windows 10 App. The controllers work fine with
    the app, but one I start streaming, my Xbox only detects the first controller.

    So, no power-cycling nor controller's firmware update is going to fix that.

    I hope they acknowledge this issue and fix it in the next Xbox ONE update

    Closing and reopening xbox app causes freeze

    If you're having issues with the Xbox controllers while streaming games through the Xbox app on Windows 10, this may be be due to outdated drivers of the controllers. To resolve this issue, we suggest that you follow the steps provided on this

    link     on how to update your Xbox One controller on Windows 10.

    It is also recommended to keep your Windows 10 device and the Xbox app up-to-date. Refer to the following links for the steps:


    After installing the updates, disconnect the Xbox controllers, and then restart both of the Xbox One console and the Windows 10 computer. Reconnect the controllers and check if you'll encounter the same issue.

    I checked the list and have done all they have listed. I have reset the router, factory reset the box, uninstalled and reinstalled the Amazon Prime video.

    I have spent 5 hours with amazon support and 2 hours with Xbox support. I have an Xbox One and Xbox One X that have the same problem with Amazon Prime Video.

    I can go into Prime Video, select a video, the video will play, I hear the audio but have a black screen.

    I have tried the Xbox on two T.V.s. I tried the Amazon Prime Video on the Xbox 360 and it works.

    Amazon Prime Video is worked up until 10 days ago. And is the only video app not working correctly.

    Check if there is a new update for the Amazon Prime App, which you haven't installed yet. If there is no one, try to delete the app and to install it once again.

    Since this seems to be an Amazon Prime App internal error, you need to contact the Amazon Customer service as the message says.

    Have you checked if there an update available for the APP? I'm currently having no issues with Amazon Prime on both my S and X. Is this the only streaming APP that is having this issue? How's your network?
