Issue with £20 Xbox top-up/gift card

I just wanted to ask if i buy a gift card for say i.e amazon can i top up mu xbox account or not only ask as it makes sense £10 amazon is the same as £10 xbox money wise.

So i use a £10 gift card top up on amazon then i use that to buy another £10 gift card that you redeem the same to topup £10 on xbox i know i bought a amazon card but they both are 25 character digital top up code you know £10 amazon is the same as £10 xbox😕

You can only use xbox gift cards to top up your microsoft balance

Very similar problem, I purchased a €5 gift card on Friday to test whether I could buy an Xbox with it on the Microsoft store. It worked, so I told my friends to gift me those gift cards. I redeemed a total of two gift cards worth €20 each, both of which
do not show up When trying to purchase a console. There it only gives me €5. When trying to purchase a game, it shows me €25, which is still €20 short. I talked to Microsoft support yesterday evening and we went through some steps, but sadly it did not work.
So I can’t use the €40 gift cards as expected, and 20 seem to be entirely lost somehow.

Yes. You must use the £10 on your amazon account (after you redeem the code if you had one) and then purchase a £10 xbox gift card and then redeem that on Xbox for the money.

Amazon gift card is not the same as an Xbox Gift card, even if they have the same amount of characters in a code. If you try to enter it, it will not accept it.

If the co.uk is not your country, please go to Amazon and search for £10 xbox gift card. It will be emailed to your email that you have on Amazon and then you redeem it here:
https://redeem.microsoft.com/enter and then you have the money in your account to use.

The only reason I want to dispute the charge is because I had used a Xbox Ultimate gift card moments later. On top of this, the charge never changed the due date for my ultimate(until after using the Xbox Gift Card)
