Issue regarding a game.

Me and a friend are having issues with the Xbox game app. on a game called Conan Exiles, in particular. My friend appears offline, when he's clearly online playing right next to me. His Xbox settings are set for him to be viewed as online, we can chat to each other, invite one another to a party. When in-game he can see me as online, and can invite me. But i see him as offline, and can't invite him to a session. Although i can accept an invite. I want to fix this so i can see him appear online and be able to invite him, but i don't know how. I've searched the community forums of the game, seen videos, and i haven't found any solutions that i haven't tried. I would appreciate some help.

Yes we have checked that aswell, our privacy settings are identical. But the issue still occurs.

I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience. You mentioned that your friend's xbox settings are set to be seen online. Is it set to be seen online by everyone, friends? If it is currently set to friends only, try to have it set as everyone.

Here's how:

1) Log in to account.xbox.com

2) Click on the profile avatar and select xbox profile.

3) Then click Privacy settings

4) Under Privacy, go under "Others can see if you're online"

5) Set it to Everyone

6) Click Submit

7) Relaunch your games, check if this resolves the issue or not.

Packet loss is never good.

This issue sounds like you may have a problem with the external line from the exchange to your house.

Get your ISP to test your network connection.

A High Resistance (HR) cable fault could be causing your loss of connectivity.

when we get the kitchen remolded were gonna put Ethernet cords under the floor so that we only have the router to blame for issues. but for now I wanted help on how to solve my small issue until I can do that

I thought it was my Internet service provider too but when I ran and internet speed and packet loss detection on the 2 others computers in my home they scored perfect 0% loss with their mbps speed both at least 50.
