    Issue joining party Chat with 4g router double Nat


    Hi All I have scoured the internet high and wide but this issues still haunts me. Recently moved out to the country with limited WiFi. Got myself a tp link MR 2000 4g router and put in a Smarty unlimited data sim. Now every time I try and join party chat I get the error code 0x8923106C. It’s driving me crazy. I can talk in game but not join a party I have gone in to my routers manager page and turned on PnP etc. I think it has to do with double NAt but no clue how to solve. Any help would be very welcome ! Thanks in advance

    Xbox One Party Chat

    Yeah myself and most of the guys I play online with have this issue as well.

    You join a party, select to turn chat on and get greeted by the message mrpotpot93 has mentioned. I have found that rebooting the console seems to allow me to then rejoin the party and turn chat on, absolute pain. I really hope there is a fix for this soon.

    Just for reference, my NAT is open and both network test confirm that there are no issues, XB1 is also in the routers DMZ to make sure it's not a port issue.

    On a related note, why did MS make this so long winded. You select to join a party, but then have to select to also turn on party chat! Surely the way it works on 360 was fine, where joining a party put you straight into party chat. Why would you want to
    join a party but not join the chat by default!!

    Ill answer (to my knowledge), forward ports and/or reset router. NATs mainly only effect getting host, joining parties, chat, etc.

    I had to restore my router to factory condition to get an open nat , also once you have joined a party you still have to enable the chat

    Switching your router off.

    I don't have any problems joining parties. I switch the router off every night when i'm done. Maybe it's a NAT issue if you're unable to join xbox live parties.

    I am having the same issue since Friday. I updated my Xbox One, and now I cant join the party chat. I followed all of the steps but to no avail.

    it keeps telling me the NAT is unavailable. The router settings are fine. It is so frustrating!
