Issue in re downloading Skyrim on Xbox 360, re download restarts at 79% every time...

I purchased Skyrim in the Xbox 360's Game Center in Australia in 2013, I moved to Japan last year and set up here. My account is relocated to Japan. I accidentally deleted Skyrim in the storage section in settings. I attempted to re download, but it keeps
restarting the download at 79%... I have followed instructions from 2 Xbox service techs, I have cleared the cache 3 times, deleted and reinstalled my profile, deleted all content related to skyrim, reset Internet settings (Xbox determined Internet was not
the issue), I even formatted the internal HDD... I mean seriously.. What else can I do? Skyrim is the only game doing this to me. When I go to the game stor it says "download again"... I'm so close to taking this thing to the demolition range at work and
setting a behive charge on it ...

What at other options can people think of?

Netflix Problems?

I am having the same issue where Netflix stops downloading at 79% and restarts. Eventually Xbox tells me "Can't download Netflix".

I can also watch it on my phone but not on my xbox.

 

That's the sign of a region issue. Since you purchased the game in Australia, your account and physical location would have to be Australia in order to redownload it. There is no way around region locking.

 

I asked about this to both tech support and they said it's not the issue

 

Also I don't have the option to purchase again because it says "download again"

 

It's the issue

First and foremost skyrim is region locked

Because you changed regions after your purchased the game that's why you aren't getting the region error

If you read the region migration. Tool warning it does state region locked content won't transfer

And yes skyrim is a confirmed region locked game as others who have mismatched regions got the 8015017 error before purchasing

Of course your issue is after purchase

Unfortunately the only way to download it again you have to migrate back to Australia and physically be there to get the content again

FYI that's why it said to redownload your content before migration unless you weren't physically there when you did a migratipn

 

After migration a game will either time out

Or.if your lucky it will still complete chances are low on completion

 

I'm having the exact same issue with "Gears of War: Judgement"

I managed to re-download 50+ games after migration - even "Gears of War 3" - with no issues whatsoever, but this one game "Judgement" won't install, after 79% it just restarts from 0%

I have fixed the issue on my end, but Xbox needs to fix a glitch in live migration. Skyrim was available in both locations. I had to migrate my account back to Australia, and then I had to trick live into thinking I was in Australia by inputting an Australian
DNS in network settings. That was the only way I could recover everything I lost. It's a slow way to do it, but it worked.

 

My problem is the migration - I was told by a Microsoft Online Adviser to migrate my account so that it matches my physical location, even though I'm only outside the UK for a few weeks.

He failed to mention that I couldn't change it back for
3 months afterwards, and that
certain games would not work in my current region (If he did, I would have never migrated)... after migrating, many games I previously purchased wouldn't install because the region I'm currently in is not supported. And I still have over 10 weeks till
I can migrate my account back.

This agent sent me a link to click on, and told me to select my current country, then hit accept. I just blindly followed his orders without realizing what I was doing...

So I'm stuck for 10 weeks not being able to use my account properly, because a Microsoft Adviser failed to provide crucial information regarding how the migration would affect my account & overall experience.

I just spoke to someone called "Mary Y" who - according to her - put me through to her Supervisor - "Sharita" who said they couldn't override the migration, under any circumstances. They said they would "coach" the agent that misled me. That's the best they
can do.

So, Microsoft's Supervisors have no way of overriding important info like this?! What if someone made a mistake? They can't correct it because they have no access to data in their own system?

There's also no guarantee that in 10 weeks, the content I'm trying to download is still going to be available, we're talking triple A games, Indie games, DLCs etc...

I'm extremely disappointed.

 

When you use the tool it does give you the warning that region locked content may not work after migration

Also that you can't reverse it till after 3 months this is mentioned 3 times as you are going thru the screens

A non migration won't help either if you physically aren't in the original country anymore

Region locks require you to be in the actual country when downloading

 

Support shouldn't have to mention something in front of you there are warnings on each screen are you sure you want to do this? This can only be done every 3months

 

And FYI not migrating your account will make the games you are talking about not work

Indie games and most triple a games are region locked you would have to be physically in the other region to download their content

So you couldn't have bought the old regions content anyways without migration

It does say for old content you should keep it on your hd before migration

The migration tool isn't a toy it cannot be switched back like xbox one
