  1. Issue booting up an Xbox One game I bought from the Hong Kong Microsoft Store

A few days ago, I bought Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness for Xbox One on the Hong Kong Microsoft Store. I know the game is playable in English and that the Xbox One is region free so I wanted to get it on the system.

After it was done downloading, I would of course start the game only to be met with a black screen for 5-10 seconds and then it kicks me back to the Home screen with NO error screen whatsoever, like it just decided to crash. I've tried
the usual troubleshooting methods like redownloading the game, restart the system, do a full shutdown and unplug the system, tried to play the Japanese version and even tried 3 other Xbox One units and got no result on all of them.

And that's why I'm here now. I'm hoping that somebody on here can help me with this issue. Perhaps have some suggestions that I haven't tried yet or tell me something I knew nothing about when it comes to buying and downloading games
from a different region on the Microsoft Store. I'm out of ideas here.

Any help I can get is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much.

    :)

Can I play Xbox One in H.K?

    Hello,

Yes, you can purchase an Xbox One and use it in Hong Kong. However, you'll have issues purchasing/downloading content digitally as the console won't be available in Hong Kong at launch so there won't be a digital store for you. If you were to purchase games
NTSC or PAL they should work as the Xbox One is going to be region locked.

The only issue you may have in regards to this is the power supply that you would receive. I believe Hong Kong is 220v, United States is 110v, it's currently unknown what sort of power supply will ship with the Xbox One but as the console won't be released
in Hong Kong at launch you won't be able to get a 220v power supply from Hong Kong Xbox Support until it is.

Destiny 2 Pre-Order early access beta code not received

Never mind, after digitally downloading the game, all I had to do was find the game on the Canadian store. I am currently residing in China but am Canadian; therefore, had to change my Xbox's store to Canada versus Hong Kong (Beta did not show up in Hong Kong
    xbox store).

Xbox one x Hong Kong, game disc from US, game language to Chinese?

So i tried again. Halo installed in Chinese (in-game text and voices) properly, so that one is fine.

Call of Duty apparently had no option to change the subtitles language at all.

Far cry 4 had the option to change subtitles language in the game menu, but chinese was not one of them.

Both Call of duty and Far cry 4 are available in the Hong Kong app store. But there is no way to know rhe supported languages in the app store. If i buy it from the hong kong app store then would the games get installed in their chinese versions?

I am assuming that that all the games in the Hong kong app store would support chinese, at least with subtitles. Is that an incorrect assumption?

Can't purchase games because of region error in China

"you cannot download any content outside your home region thats region locked"

And how do I know which game is region locked and which is not? Currently I only know if I try to buy it (and I have the necessary Microsoft points). This is not exactly user friendly. If I am outside my home region then Xbox Live should NOT show the region
locked games among the purchasable game list.

"goto hongkong and create an account there"

You mean I should quit my job and live in Hong Kong just to get a working Xbox Live account?? If I create a Hong Kong account and use it in China then the same problem can easily happen (that the games in the Hong Kong Xbox Live store are region locked to
    Hong Kong).

"nope due to international laws on distibution and copyright some content cannot be distibuted freely"

This is NOT "free distribution": I am Hungarian, I have a Hungarian Xbox Live account and I bought Microsoft points in Hungary. This means I should be able to download a content meant for Hungarians. The Hungarian Xbox Live store is meant for Hungarians,
    isn't it?
