is xbox update can affect by ISP?

Defiantly not a ISP issue. It's only affecting Xbox updates/downloads. Anything else on my ISP i get 100/40 cable speeds. Really annoying when you can download a gig of updates on laptop or iPad in mins and Xbox takes 30 odd mins. Defiantly Xbox issue

What type of modem and router are you using ? The update seemed to affect lots of people that have isp issued equipment , if you post on the "connecting to xbox live "section , we can troubleshoot it...

Thanks for the updates. Try rebooting your network hardware. Sometimes the ISP runs updates and this can affect performance until they are rebooted. What is your NAT type on the Xbox? You can also try out the troubleshoot guide for

It seems the last update affected the way the xbox and the router talk , or the way the router and the xbox live servers talk , don't know really , I do know that "2 in 1 devices from my isp" were affected the most , by FAR the most...some say wired works
now not wired , others like you say the opposite , that wireless now works and not wired ...if your comfortable doing it (if your isp dosent have it blocked) you could put the gateway in bridge mode and plug the xbox straight up and see if it works that way

It was or still is something software related that affected certain kinds of routers that isp's give out , me and all my friends get the same updates as everyone else , none of us were affected (large group of friends for a long time going back years , we
all have good routers after getting tired of not being able to connect or one guy joins and another gets kicked ) 100 percent of the threads on this issue were from people with isp gateways , go back 10 pages of threads , LONG before the update , on connection
problems of ANY kind and see how many start with " I have my own modem and a Netgear/Linksys router " not many... , isp's can be tweeked sometimes with static ip's , port forwards , dmz , but overall they are at the root of most if not all connection
problems on xbox live , if xbox lives software is difficult to handle (it is obviously ) then all the more reason to have something that will handle it
