Is Xbox Cloud Gaming 2 Players?

You can connect to other players over Xbox Live, but you cannot play 2 players locally

Same problem! Trying to play with my son but in cloud gaming the 2nd remote is not recognized when it asks for player 2 to join

I think it's a cloud gaming issue. Pity because thaya a huge part of buying an Xbox!

If I understood correctly you want to play 2 player games but via cloud gaming, right?

If that’s the case, sorry to say but right now cloud gaming games can be played only with 1 account - single player

Hi Michael, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Once you launch the game using P1 using C1, please choose the correct mode which is the local multiplayer mode. Once done, press the Xbox button and then sign in to P2 using the C2, inside the game menu there should be some steps required such as pressing the A button to recognize player 2 or using the D-pad for 2 player tab.

Shortcuts:

P1 - Player 1

P2 - Player 2

C1 - Controller 1

C2 - Controller 2

Also, make sure that you have the game installed and not through cloud gaming, because currently, cloud gaming does not support local multiplayer yet.

If you want to know if the controller is compatible with your Chromebook for use with Xbox Cloud Gaming, then according to the following website where a list of controllers compatible with Xbox Cloud Gaming is shown, it seems that the wired 8BitDo Ultimate controller is not compatible:

For now, the only 8BitDo controllers compatible with the Xbox Cloud Gaming are:

- SN30 Pro Controller for Xbox Cloud Gaming on Android.
- N30 Pro 2.
