    Yes, it is. Microsoft made a brand new Kinect just for business using and it is not compatible with xb1.

    Yup, probably slowly killing it off so they can forget about it and move forward.

    I had one for 360 that I got from my brother, but never really used it, so I couldn't justify the price of buying one for my xb1, when I really didn't know if I'd use it anymore.

    Of you mean monetary compensation, eh not really. However, the fact you can use almost any android device for same functionality, may be considered a compensation?
