Is this the only way to start a refund request?

Sucks I have to go through my bank.. but I really can't find any sort of support email.

Support hasn't used email in years. You can find instructions on how to request a refund here - https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/subscriptions-billing/buy-games-apps/refund-orders

For a refund you will have to fill out the form located at the following link.
https://support.xbox.com/en-US/forms/request-refund

That is the only way to start the process to get a refund. No one in the forums can help with that.

There is only one way to refund that is to ask via the https://www.xbox.com/en-us/Search?q=request+a+refund that is the best way to request a refund.

Submitting a refund request is the only way to get a refund. If they denied it, it's most likely because it was played for a significant amount of time before submitting the request.
