Is this pfp against the rules?

Without seeing it (pics can be posted here) it's hard to say, even then the enforcement team doesn't use the forums so we wouldn't be able to say 100% whether it does or not, but typically if you have to ask if it's against the rules, it's best not to use it.

Yeah, I read that thread. I think it's becuase there was a prize being offered in MS Points. I THINK that is a no-no, but I'm not really sure because I haven't memorized all of the "forum rules", but I have seen a pattern in other threads around the forums

In any event, you can announce a Halo 4 tournament, but I don't think you can offer a prize in MS Points or have an entry fee (or have it be some professional, money-making thing). It would just have to be for fun.

Or you could use a codeword like "cookies". So like you can advertise a Halo 4 forum (ha, that's funny when you say it fast) tournament with no entry fee and the winner will get 800 "imaginary cookies".
