    Is there still no fix for the unresponsive faceplate buttons on an Xbox Series X controller?


    I have had this particular controller since I got my Xbox Series X in 2020, but I haven't used it since a month or so ago. I had played for about an hour or so with the controller working fine and then left my Xbox on for about 2-3 hours without use while the controller was plugged in. Once, I returned everything was still on and connected, but faceplate buttons now no longer work. I have updated, reset and done everything in between to no avail. Any ideas as to if this controller is done for or if there is any fix?

    I know that this can be a bit dumb but may I know if you tried re-pairing the controller with your Series X?

    Or please remove the controller batteries, then do this in your Xbox:
    1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
    2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
    Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
    3. Plug the console power cable back in.
    4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

    After that, put the batteries in the controller. Re-pair it one more time and check

    Cant Complete a Warrenty Repair order

    In my case its sticky/unresponsive a button. I just want it repaired under the warrenty I got with my series x. Also glad to see its not just me. This needs to be fixed.

    Yes it is the X buttton on my controller. I am not having power issues. It is simply the X button that is unresponsive. My A, B, and Y button work, as does the rest of the controller. the problem is only the X button. I am out of warranty so im basically
