Is there is a way to move steam games files to xbox game pass version of the game?

as the title says can I do that?

i think that microsft store can verify downloads if it detects Microsoft configuration or app configration file in the game files it self like what steam does with appmanifest on steam I can move the game and change the configuration file and change a number so steam detect its installed and ready to play can i do the same thing with microsoft store games? or is there another way you guys know

Answering your question, unfortunately, it is not possible, because the games installation system is different for each program, steam has its method and Microsoft store another one, and the encoding of the files are also different, the very way you access the Microsoft store game files is more complex than steam.

Go to steam, click on properties under the game to locate the save file.

Then move the file to the destination under the game pass.

Saddly, it is not the Steam version, but the Xbox PC Game Pass version (mentioned in 1st sentence). The XBox PC Game Pass version installs it under "WindowsApps", creating a folder named "DeepSilver.SaintsRowIVRe-Elected_1.0.6.0_x64__hmv7qcest37me".
Went through the whole thing and there is no "display.ini" file in it.

The game doesn't support cross-saves from Microsoft to Steam so there's no way to get your progress moved to the Steam version of the game.

Kayden3's answer, while technically correct about the different save file formats on both clients and each clients respective version being different from one another, is inaccurate, to say the least, about being able to move save file data from one platform
to another.

Using the method, outlined in the Reddit post, you are able to move an autosave from the Xbox Game Pass version of the game to the steam version of the game. User made save files however are not.

When using this method I was able to move most of my save files' data from the Xbox Game Pass version to Steam without a problem

I hope this re-post of an answer from Reddit is able to help anyone who was struggling or thinks that it is impossible to move your save files from one client to another.
