Is there going to be a crosshair x beta on xbox?

It makes any of your gun attacks unblockable for a short time. You should see a little count-down meter on the crosshair at the bottom of your screen. Afterwords when the crosshair turns into a big, red X all of your gunshots will miss for a short time.
If you have any questions about a particular character's power/trait, simply press start, go to their moves list & navigate to the "power" tab - it's all explained there.

Going by some of the gameplay demo's it does look like there is a crosshair in third person

What? Smaller crosshair is harder. Smaller means you have to actually get that aimed over the person. Large crosshair means if the person your aiming at is only slightly in the crosshair, it means it can hit them.

Larger = Luck

Smaller = Harder and so requires more skill.

No its not luck, you need to time your shots accurately and place your crosshair accurately.

[/quote]The bullet will go anywhere within the size of the large crosshair, hence it being luck. It's not like noscoping in Halo 3 where the crosshair was really small, making it so you need to be far more accurate to actually
hit.

You just proved my point, having a large crosshair makes it harder to noscope and skillful where having a small crosshair makes it easy. And you need to time your shots properly too.

No crosshairs in hardcore.
