Is there anyway to unlink a microsoft account from my playstation account?

TLDR: I’ve been locked out of my microsoft account for years because they want information I don’t have to verify my identity, somehow got said account hooked up to my playstation, now want main account hooked up to playstation because I can access that one.

I’ve been locked out of a microsoft account for years due to not using it for anything other than playing minecraft multiplayer on my tablet and therefore never having enough information to verify that I owned it and somehow got it connected to my playstation account despite never being able to use multiplayer until recently. I’ve tried getting help from microsoft directly but all their minecraft experts and hardcore gamers have done is told me how to change privacy settings on an xbox and told me to delete the parts in the system storage labeled “Saved Data.” At the time of typing this I’ve deleted 3 things called saved data from my system, mildly broke the game once, deleted it twice, have had this problem for over 12 hours and have been working on it for 9 of those and might as well be going insane right now because no-one on the internet of all places can actually help me with this issue.

Nothing has worked and and at this point I’ll take getting the old one back (though I highly doubt that would happen) or somehow swapping which account was connected to my playstation account.

Unfortunately nothing can be done than. You will need the new PSN account.

You mentioned on your post that "they want information I don’t have to verify my identity". Were you referring to the recovery form (https://account.live.com/acsr)?

If you have access to the alternative email or phone number that you used when you setup your account, you can try to reset its password:

If you cannot reset your account password using the url above and if you already tried to recover your account using the recovery form but you did not provide enough information, unfortunately there is no other way to recover the account. I'm really sorry about this, my friend.

Unfortunately, when you link a Microsoft account to a PSN account, you will not be able to link any other Microsoft account to it.

You can actually unlink them (not sure if you are able to do this without access to your Microsoft account), but you will only be able to link the original Microsoft account to your PSN account.

Yes, the problem being I never used it beyond Minecraft for my old tablet and don’t have any info for outlook, skype, or an xbox.

But thank you for the help anyway.

I’ll probably just make a new psn account and attach my main microsoft account to that one as it’s my only option at this point.
