Is there any way you can delete my previous account

That's the way to go. Background info: There are three email addresses in the Xbox system for every account.

A) The Microsoft Account, also known as the Windows Live ID, which is used to sign in at websites and download the profile to the Xbox. There's only one Microsoft Account for every Gamertag, and only one Gamertag for every Microsoft Account. . You can check
on your console with Settings | Account | --> --> Account
Security | fib and say you have a new addresse ready | and your current Microsoft Account addresse will appear at right. You change it there, as well, once you make a new one at
http://signup.live.com



B) The alternate email address is where password reset messages go. You can see that at
http://account.live.com/summarypage.aspx and change that by selecting Edit Security Info there or at

C) The billing contact email address is where billing statements go. You can see & change that at
http://xbox.com/accounts by choosing
Billing Contact Information or on the console with Settings | Account --> --> Account Security | Billing Information




B & C can be the same. Ideally, A should not be B or C but that often happens.



You make the first change of your Microsoft Account addresse today; then the second change can be done in 30 days.

https://account.live.com go there and 'Close' your account, that should free up the gamertag for you to then buy a name change on your other account.

Amatsutenchi you are a smarter person than I. @Arktri he's right. Best answer too.

the answer i would say would be the best for this situation would be to maybe add just another letter to the gamertag or change one of the letters to a number such as a 7 for the T or a 4 for the A that way you still can have the same gamertag in appearance
but it would be unique instead.

I reccommend this because there won't be a way to free up this current gamertag without already changing it and closing the account won't work if there is even 1 microsoft point on the account so if you have like 20 or something small like that you would
need to spend them first before you can close the account but the problem with that is your current balance needs to be divisible by 80, if its not you will be left over with like 10 or 20 points or so which chan't be spent until you add more points to make
it divisible by 80.
