Is there any way to run fullscreen games in borderless mode?

Thank you for posting on the Xbox Communities Forum. While many games offer a borderless full-screen mode, most do not let you choose the resolution in this made and base it off of your display's native resolution. The only workaround for this would be changing your Windows' settings to a higher resolution with VSR. Furthermore, games that natively support Super Sampling Anti-Aliasing (SSAA) do not require VSR, as SSAA works similarly to VSR.

Sadly, these issues could only be addressed by the games' developer; they would need to add an option to change display resolution while in fullscreen borderless mode.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, when I turn on vsr and increase the resolution in the system settings, the picture is the same blurry. I just noticed that when I press the win button in fullscreen+vsr game, the start panel opens and the game immediately becomes clear, just like if I open the game in borderless, but playing with the start panel overlapping the screen is a bit uncomfortable.

the gamepass version runs in borderless window mode, not actual true Fullscreen, not found a way to change it as the config files are under the encrypted folder, getting this game elsewhere and you have full control. it runs like an app on gamepass/windows store so exhibits this behaviour.

If you're running the game in fullscreen mode, switching to windowed/borderless windowed mode may help. If it's a steam game, I would also recommend turning off their overlay.

Hopefully it's as simple as that, but of course, there are so many variables it may take some trial and error.
