Is there any way to recover missing screenshots?

I took 52 screenshots last night but only 10 got saved, then my xbox (series X) turned off after a couple mins, and when i turned on my xbox this morning, the other 42 screenshots disappeared, like I never even took them. I was wondering if there is any possible way to get them back without having to retake all of them.

Hi Joseph, my name is Joel, I'm here to help you with any problems or questions you may have.

Joseph, if the captures were not uploaded to the Xbox network I am afraid that it is impossible to recover them since it was a local save on your console which according to you presented a momentary power failure or some forced restart which could have deleted that local save in some way.

Hey there,

Are you able to upload the screenshot if you choose a different name? That's definitely not a name that should prevent you from posting, but let's try temporarily changing the name to see if that helps. If this persists on multiple screenshots regardless
of the name, let's try removing your
Xbox Live profile from your Xbox One and then sign back in to see if that helps.

I am having a similar problem with Microsoft Solitaire Collection.. My game data is all in place for the first 5 months of this year. Then for 1 to 14 June is missing, but back again from 15 June onwards. Is there any way to recover the data for the missing 14 days?

As of writing, there are no recording/capture features built into Xbox Cloud gaming which seems to be essential when using the Photo Mode in No Man's Sky. We appreciate you for providing visibility on the issue, and we will look into it. just tried again, and on starting the Xbox app, all my screenshots were there. I went to one of my groups, then when I came back to my captures, once again I was told I didn't have any... So fault still outstanding unfortunately. 🙁
