    Is there any way to have the Xbox headset NOT turn on the xbox?

    I use the headset for Xbox and PC. It turns on the xbox every time i play PC..... this is a design flaw.

    I would like to be able to use headset on my PC without turning on my xbox....

    i dont have hdmi headset used, i do use a headset, i use the headset via the controller. can't think of any other ways to sort this issue.

    The headset works on other peoples Xboxs also the Headst Is wireless and not connected to the controller in any way

    I Think its the Usb amp in your headphones that is causing the ground loop hum I have similar headset and the only way I could get rid of the buzz was to use wireless controller or plug headset into a laptop and use optical out on xbox for audio also have
    to unplug controller then plug in mic then repower controller. Its like I isolating the headset from any ground it could share with xbox.

    Even though the newer Xbox One controllers have Bluetooth built in, there is no way to bind a Bluetooth Headset to them.

    You're currently limited to the standard wired headsets, that go to the controller, or special wireless headsets that are specifically licensed to the Xbox like for example these
