Is there any way to get rid of the numbers in my username?

I just purchased the $10 gamertag change, and even though nobody else has that gamertag the numbers still show up on my account whenever I play games (for example, Sea of Thieves). I have friends who don't have any numbers in their name, how do I do that?

Here is what my gamertag looks like right now on my profile, "4624"

But I would like it to just be "", is there a way I can do this without spending another $10?

I did a username search in the xbox app as well and was able to find "Pyrousha" in use.

Could you tell me how you know there is another person using that username? I tried a username search and didn't see anyone else.

You would have to change your tag again to one that no one else is using and doesn't have special characters. There is someone else that is using that tag which is why you have numbers.
